Every times when I go to Santa Clara headquarters, always is winter or summer. This round is autumn and when I walk to the entrance I found that the wall full of natural color. Kids Today

Nowadays, can be said mostly all having a computer and internet at home. And from my observation, kids today loves to play online game and chatting with friends online. I think parents should play a very important roles to make sure their kids (those still under age) are not enter to the adult personals sites to learn all those “unnecessary” things. The best is parents should not allow the kids to have his or her own Personals computer located inside their room but to place the computer in living room so that parents can keep an eye on them. Breakfast at US Airport

Oct 9 2008 my happy day because is my time go back to Malaysia. Due to my flight at morning 11am, I need to rush for check in at 9:30am so I go out from hotel at 7:30am because from my hotel to Portland airport about 45 min drive. After passing the security gate, start to find the restaurant for my breakfast. Here is my last day at US breakfast and not expensive about USD 10. Looks yummy right?

Home Sweet Home

When I was in US, I visited my friend’s house. He is a businessman and he owned a very huge land. Just imagine he can even build his own factory plant in his land besides he has a few houses in that land too. All his houses are “custom home” as he wanted his dream houses all fits to his and his family every way. He offered me a stayed at his guest house for a night. That guest house is even bigger than my house in Penang...hah! And he and his family members is lived in the biggest house that with the Schumacher Homes Louisiana design. Wow, the interior design is really gorgeous. Too bad, I forget to snap any photo to show you all. If next time I got chances to visit him again, I will make sure myself to snap a few photos.

My shopping “kaki” (which is my Penang friend who also has his business trip to US) ask me go for dinner at Portland. It took us about 45 min only reach the restaurant but luckily the sushi was nice and price not too bad. When go to wash room pass by their walkway, I found that they have this beautiful pictures hanging on the wall. Just would like to share with all of you.

Penang Curry



Before go back to Malaysia, my shopping “Kaki” ask me go lunch together. This restaurant has very nice environment and statue. I have taken some picture and our food as well. I like the Penang Curry” very much and very delicious. My friend orders the noodle with peanut source. Frankly speaking I actually don’t like to take noodle or rice with peanut butter.

Different Area Code

The different between USA Phones Numbers and Malaysia Phone numbers are area code and privacy. Malaysia using 2 digits but US used 3 digits. If you call from foreigner country or internet call, their house will not appear phone number and the house owner before pickup your phone the system will ask the house owner to accept the call by identify the caller. The callers have to say their name only system will get thru or pass thru your call to your friends/relative house. How safe it is compare to Malaysia phone service and avoid those spam call. Hope that Malaysia Telekom will implement such a good system.

Ross at Portland

First time I see this Ross supermarket in town. The design was different and so high tech. The price looks same and not so expensive as well. Luckily we go at night easy to find parking otherwise I can think of the limited of parking space near the town.

My Neighbour Siamese Cat

I’d like to continue talks about my neighbour’s Siamese cat. She told me that she even well-prepared with all those flea control products to get rid of that pesky annoyance, fleas that will cause a health-threatening problem to her beloved cat.

I feel relief after listen to what she said, as least she has the preventative measures taken and hopefully that “unwelcome guests” will not spread to my house one day!

My transportation at US

Above are my rented cars when I was in US. This round, I've manage to try on 3 types of cars. They are Toyota Corolla (the blue one), Camry (the red one) and Malibu (sorry, forget to snap photo). Petrol consumption for these 3 types of cars was not bad and all the cars came with GPS system. If I did not have car in US, I think I will gone crazy because it is not convenient at all rite, cannot go anywhere without car. And this round, I actually doing a lot of shopping than visiting tourist attraction places.

Do you know what food that taking the first place to enter to my stomach when I'm at US? Ha..ha..ha, the answer is "burger". Normally when we order fast food in Malaysia the counter girl/boy will ask us whether to “having here” or “take away” but in US they use say “ To go” or “For here”. Every week almost 3 days is taking burger when I was in US. No wonder I fat de. US people not called burger but they called it "sandwich". I remembered the first time I'm in US, I called burger a lot of them “blur blur”not sure what I'm talking about. It’s good experience yah!

Poker Chips

I noticed that the hotels in US usually will place a few casino entry coupons in the room for their guest. I still remembered in year 2005, my wife and I, we get the coupons to redeem the casino t-shirt and mug due to that casino anniversary day.

This round when I was there in US, again my friend and I pay a visit to one of the casino. We travelled about 1 hour to reach the our destination. Well, we both just went there to look around and of course we are not affordable to gamble in US...hah! Wow, the casino is huge and the interior design is so grand, especially the lighting are so wonderful! Too bad we are not allowed to take any pictures in there.

Every time when I’m in the casino, the Poker Chips Set really catches my eyes. I just love the chips design and pattern, logo and the color are really attracting me. Oh yah, In US, children are allows to enter the casino provided they are escorted by parents.

Do You Like Cats

This morning before I went out to office, I met my upstairs malay neighbour’s wife carrying her newly bought cat. She told me it is Siamese cat and is the breed from Thailand. She named him as “Perang”- a Malay word whereby means “brown”. We both chats a while and she talks the facts about siamese cats to me.

She said: Siamese cats have existed for centuries in Thailand. And this pointed cat known in the West as “Siamese”. The breed was first seen outside Asian in the year 1884 when a British General brought back the cats to Britian. A few breeders in UK continued to breed the cats resulting in today’s we have two types of Siamese which is the modern “show-style” Siamese and the “traditional” Siamese.

Well, I’ve a great talk with her this morning and it is an eye-opening to me that rearing a cat also need so much of knowledge and history background of the cats family...wow!

Folsom Old Town

Sometimes I drove to Folsom old town for shopping. Nearby there have a lot of beautiful houses especially right now falls into autumn, the view even more prettier. Too bad, I didn't bring my camera along with me so I only snap a few shoots with my cell phone. Folsom old town actually have a lot of restaurants and usually a lot of visitors and factory workers will come overhere for lunch or dinner. Traffic is not so bad but is hard to find parking lot. I usually will go there during non-peak hours because easily for me to find parking. I like to shop here because I will always go back with “full" of stuffs...hah!

Chocolate

Every time when I completed my work assignment at US, for sure I will buy Chocolate, Pistachio, Mix fruits and Nuts, Mix Fruits and Dry Apricot to treat my colleagues as well as my relatives over here in Penang. I bought these few items because they all like them very much.

Most of the time, parents will have a perception that children cannot take too much of chocolate because it might cause their body “heaty”. Actually, do parents know what the essential nutrients behind chocolates are? Kikey here are the Popeyes restaurant located at Hong Kong airport but the food I taken from near Oregon outlet. The KFC taste not so good because too salty but Popeyes chicken really good. Not sure did you try before or not. Just to share with all of you.

My Colleague Car

You know, when I make my move to enter the car, I need to rise up my foot at least 1 feet high...hah! Really “Lau Chi Cham”, but I do enjoy the ride because the car is so high up and makes me see things clear on the road. Wow, what a good experience to ride on his car!

Anyone would like to eat apple? This week when I visited my friend mother's house, I saw so many apple trees and a lot of the apples drop to the ground and no one pick them up. Same thing happens to my grandmother's house for the mangoes and bananas, everyone just don't bother about it because there are so many bananas and mangoes at my grandma's house.

But my friends house actually better (at least they not really wasted that apples) because they feed their horses with these drop apples.

Sun Glasses

I like sun glasses but I dislike the glasses that can easily touching and pressing my nose. I try before many glasses but I can't accept it because I feel “Geram”(it's like something pressing at my nose area) when wearing it and ended up I throw it at one side. That’s why myself very hard to find a suitable sun glasses. Last week when I went to factory outlet in Folsom, I shopped inside Levis store, accidentally sun glasses are catching my eyes. After I try to wear the one as above picture, I found that the sun glasses actually not touching my nose area and it just hang around at my ears. I really feel comfortable and finally I decided to purchase it. Right now I got my sun glasses. Yahoo!!!

Not sure how many of you have go to Red Lobster for lunch or dinner. Every time when I go to this restaurant, I will sure order their root beer. It really taste good and different than A&W. US KFC

Normally when I travel to other country, I usually will try their KFC. Every KFC have their own taste. Some country, their fried chicken taste is more salty and some country do not have spicy fried chicken. And also the packaging of every country are different. From the picture below you can see the packaging is so different from Malaysia but this fried chicken taste is similar to Malaysia KFC.





See carefully, the bun is different from ours. But I more prefer our bun...hah!

Every time when I travel to oversea for my business assignment, I will ask my travel agent to book the car with GPS system. This GPS system actually helps me a lot especially from Airport to Hotel or shopping or any tourist attraction area. In the market, there are actually have a lot of different brand of GPS systems but what I highly recommended is Garmin brand.

Why we want to buy GPS systems and how actually it helps us during travel? A lot of people might think and said GPS system very expensive and costly. We can use paper maps instead of GPS system. But if we have this kind of thinking than it is wrong because GPS not only give us step by step direction but also tell us shortage way to reach our destination and a lot of valuable information we may get it, for example, traffic information on road, gas or petrol station, hotel, restaurant and etc. But we have to choose some reliable software as well like Tom-Tom software. They actually have very good website that allowed us to upgrade our map for free compare to other company we have to keep purchase new version of software. But of cause we need to have Tom-Tom GPS system in order to download free map.

I personally have bought a unit of Garmin GPS receiver a few years back. I hook it up to my laptop and my latest cell phone and it will ease me when travel to oversea. Don’t you think to purchase one? I bet you, you will going to love it later.

Halloween Day fall into Friday, October 31st

Theses few days I can feel Halloween celebration is just around the corners (the actual celebration date is on Oct 31) because when I do shopping, I can see a lot of big stores started selling Halloween costume and gifts. I was hoping that I can celebrate it with my colleagues and friends at US but unfortunately I have to go back by Oct 9 (and reach Penang Oct 11) because I so miss my wife. And also I need to pass down my job assignment in Penang.
