When you come to Penang, make sure you have tasted Penang "Laksa" as it is one of the famous foods in Penang. In Penang, there are many places selling “Laksa” but not all places are good. You may want to try out the stalls behind Sunshine department store called “BB Coffee shop”, Padang or Gurney Drive. I found out that many of foreigners cannot accept the taste of "Laksa" as they said the laska soup is smelly. The laksa soup is made by shrimp sauce that is why they are smelly. But for local people, like me...love it very much. Yummy!
