Magic Show

Well today I’m going to reveal my talent to everyone of you – that is I know how to do magic. I started to learn magic since I was 13. The first magic that I know is “pin walking in napkin”. I did a magic show to cheer up all the old folks when we (my company trip) visiting the old folks house this year.

Okay, in coming up post, I will show you all the magic that I know. I will ask Amy to capture the video. Stay tune!

Cube

I believe many of us played before this “Cube” thingy right? I still remember when kids time, I tried to solve this Cube but always able to turn 1 face instead of all 6 faces. But now, I can turn all 6 faces in 5 minutes...cool! Anyway, still a lot of people can turn the cube with all 6 faces done without looking at the Cubes. That’s amazing!

Direct TV and Internet Service

Now a day satellite TV Astro is part of our life. Due to satellite TV give us very clear pictures compared to traditional TV station. But not only have that satellite TV had more channels around the world but more interesting movie like HBO and Star Movie. This is why I choose satellite TV in our country.

The only different among Asia and Western are Western having more satellite TV or direct TV companies than Asia. They also have more than 1000 channels after subscribed compare to us Asia not more than 50 channels.

DIRECT TV is the most popular Satellite Television Service Provider that American like. As I visited my friend’s house in the US, almost all of them either have the Satellite TV or Direct TV. Thousand of TV channel they can watch compared to “Astro” in Malaysia. They do have the HIGH SPEED INTERNET up to 100MB compared to us only 4MB and that is also not cover some of the area in Malaysia. Even we are using 1G DSL modem but our speed is not match with the network line we use. Sigh! Hope that Malaysia can pick up the speed and Direct TV service soon.

Lombard Street

Lombard Street in San Francisco is the America’s crookedest street. It is one of the tourist attraction spot. From the above pix, you can see the steep, hills and sharp curves of one-way road pass by grand Victorian mansions and the street is paved with bricks. You will see a lot of tourist taking pictures at the street; me and my wife did the same too, hah!

After taking pictures, we both experience ourselves and drive through this crookedest street. Well, the fun of going down Lombard Street will definitely give us a few moments of fear and fun.

On July 17 2005, Amy, my colleague Geeva and I plan to go to Yosemite National Park at CA. We were so excited because we never been to this famous national park before. The weather is just nice because the snow started to melt during that time frame.

The first day we reached there, we stayed at a hotel. It is so lucky that we met the Yosemite County. We all chat a lot during that night and he was so nice to give us the Yosemite entry park cards. Yeah! By having that entry card, we can save the entry ticket fees.

The 2nd day, we started our journey to drive to Yosemite National Park; again we have another surprise that was we met one of the colleague with his family. Later, we decided to join as a big group to have fun around the national park. We even camp at the lake site and my colleague and I swim in the lake that is about sea level 1500 ft. The water is so cold but we really enjoy it.

Next year, my colleague Geeva will go again to USA for business trip. If I will have my business trip too, then we both will plan to go to Pennsylvania’s scenic Pocono Mountains. I’ve looking into the Poconos Summer Camp because it has a very good facilities and this camp has 1100 acre and located at south of Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania’s scenic Pocono Mountains.

Wireless Phone

I bought this wireless phone (with speaker phone) from US. It comes with 3 sets of hand set with voice mail system. It is cool! With the wireless, I will not get any miss call even I’m in toilet...hah! I just love it.

Furthermore, it has the speaker phone features that make my life easier when I have a conference meeting (at home) with my abroad colleagues as I do not need to hold the phone set for 1 to 2 hours meeting.

Get Boots For Thanks Giving Day

When I was in USA, I like to go shopping while off from work. It is kind of boring to stay at hotel doing nothing right after back from office. Due to I have to complete all the shopping list that given by Amy and friends, I always have to go to ladies department to search for the “items”.

In ladies department actually there are a lot of things to look around and there are like boots or shoes, clothing, hand beg and many more… Especially when they have any clearance or discount on sale, I will “fly” there to looks for the cheap items. Sometimes, I manage to get some cheaper clothes which cost only USD3. That’s my winning item.

But what impressed me were the Baby Phat brands. Baby Phat have a store located in New York City and this brand captures the bold, fun and sexy attitude of women. Especially the Baby Phat Boots because there are a lot of choices and stylish fashion. I never had seen so many types of boot's design and style like Baby Phat Boots have had. Penang Egg Tat

One of my favorite snacks is “Egg Tat”. Recently, my wife and I, we went to a restaurant to have our lunch. It is opposite Queensbay Mall but sorry that I forget the restaurant’s name. We ordered our food and one of it is “Egg Tat”. It is delicious. Even other dishes that we ordered are all okay. The restaurant is clean and it is with air-conditioning. So, to all those that can’t stand the hot weather in Penang, well this restaurant is suit you most! Good food; clean; as well as with AC installed.

Gold Honda Perlude

Amy would like to buy some plastic containers at Sg. Ara shop. So, we both went there and when we arrived at the shop, we stumbled on this attractive car- "Gold Honda Prelude". It is really catches my eyes. When Amy went inside the shop to buy the containers, I kept busy myself to have a look at this “gold” car. I chat with the car owner for a while and I get his permission to open the door to get in the car.

Wow! It is amazing...because of all the items in the car are in gold. But I suppose, it is not the real gold. Anyway, this guy is really creative to design and decorate his car in such an attractive one. Thumbs up!

Shopping Mall Having A Christmas Promotion

Christmas day is just around the corner. Well, can be seen that all the shopping malls in Penang already started their special offer deal. Shopping malls turns to be so hilarious. Many people started to “hunt” for new clothes, shoes and others. Some of the Promotional Items are really worth to purchase and we (my wife and I) can’t control ourselves from that special deal temptation anymore and we’re planning to go wild with our shopping spree by tomorrow!

We’re going to look for items like clothing, shoes and of course lingerie...hah!
Now is considered the right timing to do our shopping as Christmas and Chinese New Year (26 and 27 Jan 2009) is soon arrives.

Team Building Lunch At G-Hotel

Last few weeks, my company arranged a team building for our department. At first, we went to do foot massage than to G Hotel to take our lunch. Well, because of I just back from US and I already get fed up with all those western food, so I only focus on those cute “Ice Kacang”, strawberry biscuit and cake. Looks yummy leh?

Colon Cleanse

My boss went to China for business trip and he purchased these chopsticks as a souvenir to all of us. Total have 9 different design and color. It is nice, I choose one and I placed it at my cubicle.

Coats

I always admired those people stayed in cold climate country that they have the chance to wear coat. I always wanted so much to owned one for myself but no point for me to have it because I’m staying in tropical country where we have a warm weather throughout the year...hah!

I think the Roca Wear Coats is cool. They have plenty of patterns and designs. The best is their price is reasonable to purchase. When I was in US for business trip, some of my colleagues are wearing the Roca Wear Coats. I find it really turns them into a good looking, stylish and elegant man.

NASCAR

When I was in Oregon, my friend brings me to his nephew’s house and he is a NASCAR driver. He wins many championship races before. I was so excited about the car. Just imagine that I like a “monkey” that jumped in here and there to take a look at the car. First, I look at the truck. It is so huge. The truck is to carry the NASCAR to the racing spot. Later, I take a look at the NASCAR, the engine, the interior and etc. I took a few shoots of the car and truck. Enjoy!

Online Game Black Fleet Team War

10 November 2008 is the “Fleet War” day. What is that? It is the online gaming war day. Our (my online gamer and I) clan is called “Black Fleet” and we have a clan war on that day with other groups of gamer. Anyway, we loose the war as the enemy clan confusing us with the playing rules and the TNF (Navyfield) game company also agrees on this. Due to some other reason, the enemy side is the winner. Even though, we are loose in the game but we win in the team-spirit.

Above is the picture shows that we are well-prepared with our strategy to fight the enemy. I am happy that almost 40% of our clan mates (world wide) are able to joining up this war game. And thanks to our fleet master that trying so hard to defense us by using the Carrier (a ship that carry planes).

Diet

Yesterday (Friday) during the lunch hour, my friends and I, we decided not to go out having our lunch but just dine in at our factory’s cafeteria. And, one amazing thing happens during that lunch hour. We noticed a lady (we are not so familiar with her) she used to be quite fat some time back and now she turns to be so slim! Apparently, a lot of people start gossiping about her and our group did the same thing too...hah!

Some said, she must be taking any Safe Diet Pills to slim down. Or joining any slimming program in slimming center and some even said, maybe she gets sick and that is why she is slimming down so sudden!

But she didn’t see any unhealthy look obviously. So, I think she must be taking up Safe Diet Pills package to slim her body down.

My friends dog

When I was in the US one month ago, I visited my friend’s house. As usual I "bell-ring" his house and when the door open, I was so shocked and surprised with the BIG dog that running close to me. At first I was so scared but after a while I noticed that this dog actually like to play with people. He also knows how to act if we said “Beng Beng”. He will just lie down to the floor and take his leg up like he gets shoot...hah! Cool right? ^^

How to start playing golf

Anyone like to play golf or know how to play golf? Well, my manager likes to play golf very much. Currently in Penang only have BJ Golf club and what I know is the club fees are really expensive. Golf is a royal game as it is a costly game whereby the golf set, ball, golf beg and other accessories are all very expensive. But one good thing of golf is, it is a good exercise game because golfer needs to walk a long distance after one shot. So, the golfer needs a good shoe to protect their foot as they involve a lot of walking.

My RC Heli

Today I’m going to share my new toy to all of you. It is a 3-channel, Infrared Control helicopter. It allows for forward/Backward, Left/Right and Up/Down movements. I have captures the video but not upload to my blog yet. Will show every one of you when I fly inside my house. Cool!

It is so creative and special right?

My favorite food in Penang

When you come to Penang, make sure you have tasted Penang "Laksa" as it is one of the famous foods in Penang. In Penang, there are many places selling “Laksa” but not all places are good. You may want to try out the stalls behind Sunshine department store called “BB Coffee shop”, Padang or Gurney Drive. I found out that many of foreigners cannot accept the taste of "Laksa" as they said the laska soup is smelly. The laksa soup is made by shrimp sauce that is why they are smelly. But for local people, like me...love it very much. Yummy!

Phone Cards

Every time when I have business trip to Unite States, I will purchase a prepaid phone card to call back my hometown in Penang, Malaysia. I know I can always talk or web-cam for free with my wife via Skype or MSN, but what if in emergency cases whereby I do not have computer with me! So, to play safe, a prepaid phone card is a MUST to carry along with me everywhere I go.

With using these Malaysia phone cards to call from United States to Malaysia, it is only as low as 0.7 cent per minute! It is really a way to save money and I do not have to worry about the expensive international rates anymore whenever I call back my hometown.

Tricycle

I was visiting my friend's house 2 weeks ago and I stumbled on this tricycle. It was so nice and so cute. The chain (steel) and the rubber tyres are attract me so much. What do you think? Is it looks alike to Penang trishaw (lang chia in Hokkien dialect)?

Home Design

I have been visiting my friends who stay in Oregon and CA. Recently some of them are actually renovated their house. I’m asking them where they get the idea or they hire some interior designer. What they told me is that they just visiting to websites via internet to get the design layout or idea. Surprisingly, they did the renovation themselves and with such a beautiful layout.

When I’m back to Malaysia, I also try to log on to some websites and found that Schumacher Homes actually provides a good review on house designing and a lot of photos are uploaded in the sites. They even provide a DVD and guidebook so that you have more detail about their company background and profiles.

This is a good website if you are in planning to do any renovation to your house and I’m highly recommended to all my friends.

Porridge at Airport lounges

As you know that I have to be at HK airport for 8 hours long. My flight arrived at HK airport just about 6:30am. I actually plan to go HK city tour unfortunately too early and HK town a lot of shopping complex not open yet. So I decided to wait at Airport and pass the time.
